The final blog

Hi class! This week's topic is our experience with writing blogs so let's start it (:
For most of the blogs, I had a lot of fun writing about our favorite things because it was very easy to talk about something that we know and like so much, but I didn't enjoyed it very much another ones with topics not so interesting for me, although it was a great experience in general that helped me to improve my writing skills and grammar. I also expanded my knowledge about different vocabulary that I didn't know before and I learned to use many words that I used to write in a wrong way.

I couldn't tell what topic I liked the most because there were a lot of ones, but I love to write about songs, books and movies, for me, these themes were the best of all and the most entertaining.

Another thing that I could tell is that in general blog is an activity easy to do, I consider it a help to get good marks instead of ruining it so I would keep it like the way it is because I don't really have something important to complain about (maybe some topics that were too boring)

In the future I would like to write about our favorite genre of music in specific or our favorite band/singer, that would be great.

Have a good day and regards to everyone!

My favorite TV show

Hi everyone, the topic of this week is my favorite TV show and in my case is The Big Bang Theory.
I have many series that I like and thousands of anime series I really love but I wanted to choose this one because it's the sitcom I like the most.
The Big Bang Theory is an american sitcom created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady and emited for the first time in 2007.
The show is centered in the five principal characters: Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter, Howard Wollowitz, Raj Koothrappali and Penny. The comical side of this is the geekiness in the first four and the difference of their lives compared to Penny's, who has social skills and common sense that neither of them have.
Later on the show, Bernadette Rostenkowski and Amy Farrah Fowler joined to the original cast as Howard's wife and Sheldon's girlfriend respectively. Till now the show has 7 seasons and an upcoming one, planning to continue it until 2016 or 2017.
I really loved this TV show since the first time I watched it. The story is very funny and I never get bored while watching it, in fact it's all the opposite, I can't stop laughing during every episode. My favorite character is Sheldon Cooper, he's all so geek and physicist enthusiast until the point of obssession that you can't help laughing at him, besides Jim Parsons, the actor who plays Sheldon, is very talented and personifys very well his character.
Unfortunaley, I haven't watched it in a long time because of university.
I hope you are alright and see you next time. Regards!

My Favorite Book

Hi class! Today I'm going to describe my favorite book which is "The Book Thief" by the australian author Markus Zusak.
Basically, this story is about a girl named Liesel Memimger who has to go to live with another family that isn't her because her mother coudn't take care of her properly. She goes to live with Hans Huberman and Rosa Huberman in the context of a Germany in World War II.
Liesel is going to pass through so many things along the story and the most important of all of them is that she's going to meet a jewish escaping from Holocaust and her family is going to help keeping him hidden in the house's basement.
The book develops the relationship between Liesel in the jewish guy, Max Vanderburg which is going to create a new whole vision of life that is imposible to not feel touched by it.
I've never cried so much with a book like I did with this one. It's incredibly beautifully written, it has a very special and particular narrator that must to be discovered by the reader. Well, it has so many things that I like that it's very difficult to say all of them, but one of my favorite parts definitely is one moment so simple yet so ironic. In a specific part of the book, Rudy Steiner (Liesel's best friend) covers his face with coal to look like Jesse Owens, a black olympian athlete that he admired. The funny thing was that Rudy was the ideal german kid with blond hair and blue eyes, but he wished to look like a black guy who was despised by the nazis and Hitler and considered unhuman.
It has so many good things and the final is tragically beautiful. Totally recommended :)

An expert in my field: Franz Kafka

Well, I don't really know any website related to my career so I'm going to write about one of my favorite authors, Franz Kafka.

Franz Kafka was a czechoslovakian writer born in Prague, Austro-Hungarian Empire, on July 3rd, 1883.
He was born in a german-speaking jewish family and had two little brothers that died very young, and three sisters that were taken by nazis and died during Holocaust of World War II.
He became a lawyer on 1906 and was hired in an italian insurance company where he was deeply unhappy and affected by the hard work schedule. He died because of laryngeal tuberculosis on June 3rd, 1924.
Kakfa is an important and influential writer nowadays, being one of the most influential authors of 20th century. He wrote books like "The Metamorphosis", "The Trial" and "The Castle", all of them filled with psychological breakdown themes.

He is one of my favorite writer because of this writing style. I fell in love with "The Metamorphosis" when I firstly read it for Kakfa's ability to put emotions of being and feeling alone, to feel so insignificant (like a bug) for the rest of the world, even your family. I admire his works, maybe because I like depresive books haha.

My Favorite Song

Well, the topic of this week was the favorite song, so let's go :)
As anyone I think, I have a lot of favorite songs, but definitely when I saw that I would write about       only one, the weirdest choice came to my mind instantly.
The song is called "Romance of lights and shadows" (Hikari to Kagen no Roman) by the female          japanese singer and composer Utoku Keiko and it was her ninth single released on May 14th, 1997.
This song was used as the third ending theme of the series "Detective Conan" and it talks about a           woman who is in love but had a lot of problems with that person, however, she yearns for him and         wishes to have a happy ending instead of the bad one, recollecting only the good things and forgetting    all the problems.
But this song is special for me not for the lyrics, but for another reason. Being so far away from my   family and my friends makes me a little sad frecuently and this song is like a remedy. When I was a child I used to watch Detective Conan with my older brother almost every day, and this particular is the only song I remember quite well from the show, and when I listen to it, I feel like a 5-year-old again, with my brother and watching the TV next to the kitchen. It gives me warmth and comfort because it´s like I remember all the past things and good memories when life was all about to play all day and watch anime with my brother.
    Have a good day!

A photograph I like

This is one of the photos I treasure the most :3
It was taken on my last days of school and I'm here with my special humanist group of school when we were having a meal and it was really memorable and emotional for being the last days.
I don´t remember quite well who was the one that took it but certainly was of my other classmates.
We were 18 in the group of humanists in my grade. In these photo we made hamburgers and had a very good time with our teacher of language, the best teacher of the whole world to me! He was the best with us and we spent the two happy years with him, besides I learned a lot from him and laughed a lot too.
I like this photo because it reminds of the good times in school, now that I'm so far away from home, this gives me strenght and happiness when I'm down, specially when all of them stayed in Puerto Montt and I came alone to here. I miss all of them very much, school was one of the best things ever and I'll never forget them.
Have all a very good day! Bye :)

What I think of Christianity

I was born in a catholic family, so since I was a little child I was influenced by that religion and grew up like a catholic person until I got some of the conscience that years give to anyone while getting older.
I've never stopped to believe in God, I´m a christian indeed, but I lost my faith in the religion quite time ago, so I don't consider myself catholic or any other religion anymore.
I personally think that God is the creator of our world, which doesn't mean I don't believe in science, actually I don't know why people separate God's creation and science if I see them as two things united, I believe in both.
There's many reasons why I'm not catholic anymore but the principal is that I see this religion as something created by humans (the Catholic Church in Rome and all its organization I mean) so it always will have bad things that can't be denied and make people get hurt. Because of that I despise all the wars and deaths caused by religion (all of them, not only catholic)
I also don't like the "fervient catholic people" that are supposed to live their lives according to God's influence and all they do is judge other people that are different from them (atheists, LGBT community, etc) and exclude them when they have to do the contrary. Discrimination and judgement are things that I saw too much in the religion, that's because I got away from it: I believe that everyone has the right to think and do whatever they want to while they don't affect other people's lives.
I have other reasons for not liking religion but I would extend too much so I'm not going to say much more. See you.
